Role: Syndicate Reporting Manager Location: London (Hybrid) Job Type: 15-Month Fixed-Term Contract (Maternity Cover) Salary: Up to £150,000 + Completion Bonus + Excellent BenefitsAbout the OpportunityWe are working with a leading London Market insurer to recruit an experienced Syndicate Reporting Manager on a 15-month fixed-term contract to cover maternity leave.This is an excellent opportunity to lead a small, high-performing team responsible for Lloyd's regulatory reporting and syndicate financial reporting. Reporting to the Financial Controller, you'll oversee the delivery of key regulatory returns, manage external audit relationships and work closely with senior stakeholders across Finance, Actuarial, Underwriting and Risk.The role is predominantly BAU focused, with opportunities to contribute to process improvements and wider finance projects.The RoleLeading a team of two, you'll oversee the preparation and review of Lloyd's regulatory reporting, ensuring all submissions are accurate, compliant and delivered to strict deadlines. You'll also play a key role in strengthening controls, improving reporting processes and supporting senior leadership with financial and regulatory insight.Key Responsibilities
Own and oversee the preparation and review of Lloyd's regulatory returns including QMA, QMB, SBF, US Situs, Cad Situs, NAIC, TRIA/FIO, Standard Formula, QSR, QAD, ASR, AAD, QF1 and AF1.Oversee and coordinate the end-to-end Syndicate reporting timetable, including stakeholder inputs, review cycles and sign-off processes.Own the delivery and review of Syndicate Financial Statements, ensuring compliance with Lloyd's and accounting requirements.Act as the primary contact for external auditors, coordinating audit activity and supporting information requests.Lead the preparation and presentation of financial and underwriting commentary to senior management and governance committees.Support the Lloyd's capital setting process and annual Syndicate distribution process.Drive reporting process improvements and reporting rationalisation initiatives.Maintain a strong controls framework and ensure governance processes remain effective.Coordinate reporting activities across Finance, Actuarial, Underwriting, Risk and MI teams.Support wider finance transformation and strategic projects.Lead, coach and develop two members of the Syndicate Reporting team.
About YouWe're looking for a qualified accountant with extensive Lloyd's market experience and a strong background in syndicate reporting and regulatory returns.You will ideally have:
ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualification.Extensive experience within the Lloyd's of London insurance market.Strong knowledge of Lloyd's Core Market Returns and regulatory reporting.Experience preparing and reviewing Syndicate Financial Statements.Strong technical insurance accounting knowledge.Advanced Excel skills; Workday, Phinsys and Clearwater experience would be advantageous.Proven leadership and stakeholder management experience.Excellent organisational and communication skills.A proactive approach with a focus on continuous improvement.
