Psychology Graduate Opportunity – SEN Teaching Assistant – Maidenhead

Pay: £108 to £115 per day
Days: Monday to Friday, Term Time Only
Location: Maidenhead

About the Role:
Are you a Psychology Graduate passionate about inclusive education?
In this SEN Teaching Assistant role, you’ll support pupils with a range of needs including Autism, ADHD, and SEMH challenges. You’ll gain hands-on experience with behaviour management, social communication strategies, and child development.

Key Responsibilities:
– Provide support to pupils with SEN in and out of class.
– Assist in the implementation of individual learning plans.
– Foster a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment.
– Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and support staff.

What We’re Looking For:
– Graduates in Psychology, Criminology, Youth & Community Work, or related fields.
– Non-graduates with relevant experience in youth work, mentoring, or social care are also encouraged to apply.
– A strong interest in working with young people who are at risk of entering the criminal justice system.
– Sincerity is key – what drives you, and why do you want to support some of the most vulnerable children in society?
– A calm, patient, and resilient approach, with the ability to de-escalate challenging situations.
– Experience (voluntary or paid) with vulnerable young people, SEMH, or youth offending (desirable but not essential—full training provided).
– A genuine passion for advocacy, social justice, and rehabilitation.
