Architects & Technologists

Morson Edge are working with a leading multidisciplinary consultancy to recruit Architects, Architectural Technologists and Architectural Technicians on a contract basis to support a growing portfolio of major projects across highly regulated sectors.

We are looking to speak with professionals ranging from mid-level through to Senior, Associate Director level, who can contribute to the design, technical delivery and leadership of complex projects within defence, industrial, infrastructure and other regulated environments.

This is an excellent opportunity to join established multidisciplinary teams delivering technically challenging schemes with a strong long-term project pipeline across the UK.

The Opportunity

You will play a key role in the delivery of nationally significant projects, supporting multidisciplinary teams through design development, technical coordination and project delivery across all RIBA stages.

We are particularly interested in candidates with experience delivering projects within:

• Defence
• Industrial and manufacturing
• Infrastructure
• Highly regulated environments
• Nuclear (desirable but not essential)

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver architectural and technical design packages across multiple RIBA stages.
• Produce, develop and coordinate Revit models and technical documentation.
• Work closely with structural, MEP and specialist consultants within multidisciplinary teams.
• Coordinate design information and ensure compliance with project and industry standards.
• Participate in design reviews, technical problem-solving and project coordination meetings.
• Support the successful delivery of complex, technically challenging projects.
• Lead work packages, project teams or overall project delivery depending on your level of experience.

Essential Skills & Experience

• Background as an Architect, Architectural Technologist or Architectural Technician.
• Minimum 3–5 years’ experience using Revit.
• Experience working within an architectural practice or multidisciplinary consultancy.
• Strong technical detailing and design coordination skills.
• Experience delivering large-scale or technically complex projects.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams.

Desirable Experience

• Defence sector experience.
• Industrial or manufacturing project experience.
• Experience working within regulated sectors.
• Nuclear project experience.
• Current Security Clearance or eligibility to obtain clearance.
• Project leadership, project-running or team management experience (Senior, Associate and Director-level candidates).

Locations

Candidates should be within reasonable commuting distance of one of the following offices, with hybrid working typically involving 2 days per week in the office:

• Manchester
• Warrington
• Birmingham
• Glasgow
