Engineering Manager

We are currently seeking an Engineering Manager for our client based in East Suffolk on a temp-perm basis.DUTIES:- Provide overall technical leadership and oversight for civil engineering projects, from concept through completion.- Establish and enforce engineering standards, best practices, and quality control procedures.- Manage delivery of contractor and temporary works design. Review and approve designs, drawings, specifications, and calculations.- Ensure compliance with industry, regulations, codes, and safety standards.- Lead, mentor, and develop project engineers, and technical staff.- Collaborate with executive leadership, project managers, clients, and external stakeholders.- Identify technical risks and develop mitigation strategies.- Support business development efforts by providing technical input for proposals and bids.- Oversee management and execution of temporary works or lifting (subject to suitable experience) - Review ITPs and RAMSQUALIFICATIONS- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (Master's degree preferred). - Chartered Engineer (MICE, MIStructE or equivalent). - Relevant experience in civil engineering, including leadership roles. - Proven experience managing large-scale or complex infrastructure projects. - Strong knowledge of civil design standards, and construction methods. - Excellent leadership, communication, and decision-making skills. - Ability to balance technical excellence with business and operational objectives. - CSCS Card.DESIRABLE - Digital information and modelling knowledge - ISO-19650 and PAS:8811 familiarity - Experience working with multidisciplinary teams. - Proficiency with engineering and project management software. - Experience in a Nuclear Environment - Experience as CRE or CEMLocation: Saxmundham Contract Type: Temp-perm Hours: 45 hours per week
