Accounts Assistant

This role can be full time 37.5hrs or 30hrs per week (6 hours per day). Please note, this is an office-based role.

Reporting into the Accounts Manager and working as part of a small team of 3, you’ll provide support to the business’s accounts department.

In terms of your background, you’ll need to have previous accounts and payroll experience. You’ll also need to be proficient in Excel – experience using Sage and Xero is desirable but not essential.

Below is a small overview of what you’ll be doing;

• Manage payroll process, including deductions, payments, and HMRC submissions ensuring compliance with payroll legislation and company policies – Sage software
• Provide administrative support to the Accounts Manager and assist with the preparation of financial statements and reports
• Reconcile bank statements and company accounts
• Process receipts and payments accurately and timely using Xero software
• Support month-end and year-end close processes
