A lovely family based in Chelsea is looking for an experienced, warm and nurturing newborn nanny to provide daytime support for their 6-week-old baby, starting as soon as possible for approximately 2–3 months.

The mother is breastfeeding and is primarily looking for an experienced extra pair of hands during the day. The successful candidate will be confident caring for a young newborn between feeds, helping with settling and naps, and supporting the baby into a gentle and age-appropriate routine.

The family also have two boys aged 3 and 5, so someone who is comfortable and happy helping with the older children when required would be highly desirable.

Responsibilities

* Providing attentive and nurturing care for the 6-week-old baby
* Supporting the mother with the baby between breastfeeding feeds
* Settling and resettling the baby
* Establishing and maintaining a gentle daytime routine
* Supporting age-appropriate naps and sleep
* Taking the baby out for walks and fresh air when appropriate
* Preparing bottles if required and supporting with expressed milk
* Baby laundry and keeping the nursery and baby areas organised
* Helping with the older boys when needed
* Creating a calm, happy and nurturing environment for the whole family

The Ideal Candidate

The family are looking for someone who is:

* Highly experienced with newborns
* Warm, calm, nurturing and reassuring
* Knowledgeable about newborn sleep, settling and routines
* Confident working alongside a breastfeeding mother
* Flexible and adaptable
* Happy to support with older children when required
* Professional, discreet and respectful of family life
* Ideally available for the full 2–3 month period
* Able to provide excellent, recent references
