Location: Leicester (LE postcode)
Hours: 11:00am to 5:00pm, with potential for additional hours
Support Model: 2:1 Support
Driver: Preferred but not essential

About the Role

We are seeking a compassionate and reliable Female Support Worker to support an individual with Autism and Learning Disabilities who is moving into their own bungalow and beginning the transition to more independent living.

This is a community-based support role focused on promoting independence, building confidence, and helping the individual establish a positive routine within their home and local community. The person you will support is relatively independent, enjoys being active, and likes spending time out in the community.

No personal care or medication administration is required.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the individual to settle into their new home environment
• Promote independence and daily living skills
• Encourage community engagement and participation in activities
• Support with local outings and appointments
• Assist with collecting prescriptions if required
• Build a positive and consistent professional relationship
• Work effectively as part of a dedicated 2:1 support team

What We're Looking For

• Experience supporting individuals with Autism and/or Learning Disabilities is desirable
• A calm, patient and person-centred approach
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Reliable, flexible and committed to delivering high-quality support
• Local candidates preferred
• Full UK driving licence advantageous but not essential

Additional Opportunities

There may be opportunities for additional hours as the package develops, including:

• Sleep-in shifts
• Waking nights (8:00pm to 8:00am)
• Additional daytime support hours
