Location: Nuneaton County Court, Warwickshire Justice Centre, Vicarage Street, Nuneaton, CV11 4WX
Pay Rate: £12.86 per hour
Hours: 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday
Clearance Required: DBS- Provided by Brookstreet

About the Role


We are currently recruiting for an Administrative Officer to join Nuneaton County Court. This is an excellent opportunity to gain experience within the Ministry of Justice, supporting the smooth running of court operations and providing essential administrative support to the Judiciary and wider court team.
This is a full-time position based at Nuneaton County Court, offering a varied workload within a professional and fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities


As an Administrative Officer, you will:

  • Carry out a range of general administrative duties to support court operations.
  • Input and maintain accurate data using Microsoft Office applications and bespoke court systems.
  • Support Judiciary hearings using Cloud Video Platform (CVP), Microsoft Teams and other video and audio conferencing systems.
  • Produce court orders and process documentation using court management systems.
  • Handle correspondence and ensure documentation is issued accurately and within required timescales.
  • Prepare, distribute and manage court papers and case-related documents.
  • Complete standard letters, forms, applications, orders, records, registers and statistical information.
  • Provide telephone support and respond to enquiries where required.
  • Support colleagues and contribute to the effective running of the team.
  • Operate office equipment and assist with general office administration.

Essential Skills and Experience


We are looking for candidates who can demonstrate:

  • Strong administrative and organisational skills.
  • Good attention to detail and accuracy when handling data and documentation.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word, Outlook and Excel.
  • The ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise workloads effectively.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • A professional and adaptable approach to work.

Additional Information

  • Training will be provided and tailored to the role and individual learning requirements.
  • Any pre-booked annual leave will be honoured. New leave requests during training will be subject to line manager approval.
  • No travel is required for training.
  • There is no on-site parking available at the court.
