Maltby
40 hours per week (Monday to Friday: 7:00am – 3:00pm)
Salary £29,044 - £32,442 per annum (dependent on LEAD grading score)

Marshalls Bricks & Masonry is part of our building products division and has been manufacturing and supplying high-quality brick, walling and masonry products for more than 100 years.

We're now looking for a Plant Operator to join our team at Maltby.

So, what’s the mission?
We're looking for a motivated and reliable Aggregate Plant Operator to join our Operations Team at Marshalls Maltby. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and takes pride in maintaining high standards of safety, housekeeping and operational excellence.

As the Aggregate Plant Operator, you will play a key role in ensuring the efficient running of the aggregate tower while supporting the wider production operation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor the aggregate tower to ensure it is operating safely and efficiently.
  • Carry out routine inspections and report any equipment faults or abnormalities promptly.
  • Maintain excellent housekeeping standards within the aggregate plant area.
  • Manage aggregate deliveries, ensuring deliveries are received accurately and safely.
  • Check delivery documentation and ensure all paperwork is completed correctly.
  • Pass all delivery documentation and relevant paperwork to the Administration team in a timely manner.
  • Ensure aggregate stock levels and raw material stock control are monitored and escalate any shortages or concerns.
  • Work closely with Production, Maintenance and Administration teams to support daily operations.
  • Follow all Health & Safety procedures and company policies.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement activities and support a clean, safe and organised workplace.

What are the mission-critical skills?

Essential:

  • Current Shovel Loader Licence and FLT
  • Good communication and organisational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and use initiative.
  • Strong attention to detail, particularly when completing paperwork.
  • Commitment to maintaining high standards of safety and housekeeping.
  • Reliable, dependable and able to work as part of a wider operational team.

Desirable:

  • Previous experience working within a manufacturing, quarry, aggregates or heavy industrial environment.
  • Experience operating mobile plant.
  • Knowledge of stock control or material handling processes
