Senior Planner - Complex Construction - Outside IR35

Our client, a leading consultancy within the construction sector, is currently seeking a Senior Planner for complex construction projects. This contract role focuses on early-stage PMO setup environments and works within diverse sectors including pharmaceutical, airports, data centres, and buildings.

Key Responsibilities:

• Establishing planning governance, procedures, and processes during early project conception stages
• Supporting the development and implementation of project plans
• Managing project schedules and ensuring alignment with overall project goals
• Working closely with project managers, stakeholders, and various teams to ensure cohesive planning
• Monitoring project progress and making adjustments as required
• Providing comprehensive planning input for major live complex design and build projects
• Ensuring compliance with industry standards and best practices
• Reporting and presenting project status updates to senior management and clients

Job Requirements:

• Significant experience in project planning within early-stage PMO setups
• Experience working on major live complex design and build construction projects, such as airport terminals, data centres, pharmaceutical plants, hospitals, or major rail station programmes
• Strong understanding of planning governance, procedures, and processes
• Excellent project management skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work effectively in a hybrid working environment
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Proficiency in project planning software and tools
• Relevant qualifications in project planning or construction management

Requirements:

• Contract role based in London with hybrid working options
• Position is outside IR35
