Strategic Projects - Softwarer Factory

Our client, a leading organisation in the Defence & Security sector, is currently seeking an Engineer for their Strategic Projects - Software Factory on a contract basis. The role is essential to the smooth operation and development of innovative IT software solutions and will be based in New Malden, Broad Oak, or Frimley. This is a unique opportunity for individuals who are adept in IT Software within the context of strategic defence projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Contributing to the development and implementation of software solutions for strategic projects
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure project requirements are met
• Participating in the testing and validation of software applications
• Ensuring compliance with security protocols including BPSS and SC
• Providing technical documentation and support as required
• Working on an adhoc basis, not exceeding one day per week

Job Requirements:

• Experience in IT software development and implementation
• Understanding of software testing and validation processes
• Familiarity with security requirements in the Defence & Security sector
• Ability to work collaboratively in a project-based environment
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Flexibility to work on an adhoc basis
• Eligibility for BPSS and SC security clearances
