Food & Beverage Manager

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Food & Beverage Manager to join a beautiful independent Exmoor hotel with a strong food and beverage reputation. This is a fantastic role for a passionate, standards-driven individual who enjoys being guest-facing and developing a talented, enthusiastic team. Rewards & Benefits: Competitive salary circa £40,000 + package Temporary off-site accommodation available if required Opportunity to work within a well-regarded independent hotel Supportive ownership with scope to influence and develop the F&B offering The Role: This is a hands-on leadership role overseeing all food and beverage operations within a characterful property featuring 25+ individually designed bedrooms, two cosy bars rich in traditional features, and an award-acclaimed restaurant. The hotel also benefits from attractive outdoor spaces and a thriving wellness offering. You will work closely with the General Manager and Head Chef to maintain and enhance the hotel’s excellent reputation, ensuring a consistently high standard of service and guest experience across all F&B outlets. Duties and Responsibilities: Primary responsibilities will include: Overseeing all day-to-day food and beverage operations, ensuring exceptional service standards at all times Leading, motivating and developing a passionate team of Duty Managers and wider F&B team, creating a positive and engaging working environment Working collaboratively with the Head Chef to deliver a high-quality, seasonal menu using local and sustainable produce Managing stock, GP and supplier relationships to ensure commercial success Driving service standards and being highly visible on the floor, engaging with guests and enhancing their experience Recruiting, training and coaching team members, nurturing talent and supporting career progression Managing budgets and supporting the control of departmental costs in line with business objectives Ensuring full compliance with Health & Safety and food safety standards Supporting the wider management team with initiatives to grow revenue and enhance the guest offering Candidate Requirements: The ideal candidate will have a strong food and beverage background within a quality hotel or similar environment.
