York, UK Aztrum Principal Civil Engineer Remote (1 day per month in office)  £60,000–£65,000 An established civil engineering consultancy is seeking a Principal Civil Engineer to join their drainage-focused team on a home-based basis, with just one day per month required in the York office. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced civil engineer to take on a senior, technically led role while enjoying the flexibility of working from home the majority of the time. The successful candidate will lead on drainage design across a variety of projects, providing technical direction, mentoring junior engineers, and liaising directly with clients and stakeholders. There is also genuine scope to manage and grow the wider team as the business develops. Technical expertise should also include road, highway, external works and pavement design, vehicle tracking, SuDS maintenance and management plans, SuDS verification reports, and signing and lining. Candidates should be experienced in flood risk assessment and drainage strategy, combined, foul and surface water drainage design and SuDS, along with design risk assessment and project due diligence. Experience on Nationally Significant Infrastructure Projects would be advantageous.
