Role: Accounts Assistant Location: Manchester (Hybrid) Job Type: Permanent, Full-time Salary: Up to £32,000About the OpportunityMorson Edge Finance is partnering with an established international organisation to recruit an Accounts Assistant into its European finance team.This is an excellent opportunity for someone with existing accounts experience who is looking to broaden their exposure and develop within a supportive finance environment. The position has become available due to an internal promotion and offers genuine scope for progression, with existing members of the team having successfully developed into more senior finance positions.The role will support the finance function across a number of European entities incorporating balance sheet reconciliations, journals, P&L analysis and intercompany activity alongside transactional responsibilities.Key Responsibilities
Processing supplier invoices, ensuring correct coding and approvalPreparing and processing payment runsCompleting balance sheet reconciliationsDealing with supplier queriesProcessing employee expensesPosting journalsSupporting P&L analysisPreparing intercompany statementsSupporting month-end activities and financial reportingWorking with colleagues across Finance, Procurement and OperationsSupporting wider finance projects and continuous improvement initiativesEnsuring adherence to financial controls and audit requirements.
About YouWe are looking for someone who has previous experience within an Accounts Assistant or similar finance role and is now keen to continue developing their accounting experience.You should have:
Previous accounts/finance administration experienceStrong balance sheet reconciliation experienceExperience of invoice processing and payment cyclesIntermediate Excel skillsExperience of using an accounting or ERP systemGood communication and problem-solving skillsA stable career historyIdeally you will be studying towards your AAT qualification.
