Warehouse Team Member

Location: Cheltenham

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am–5:00pm

Job Type: Full-time – Temporary to Permanent 

Pay: Circa £30,000

Our client is looking for a reliable and hands-on Warehouse Team Member to join their small team in Cheltenham. The role will involve supporting the day-to-day warehouse operation, including goods-in, stock put-away and, primarily, the accurate picking and packing of customer orders.

As part of a small team, the successful candidate will be trustworthy, take ownership of their responsibilities and be willing to support colleagues during busy periods.

Key Responsibilities of a Warehouse Team Member:

• Receive and check incoming deliveries
• Put stock away safely and in the correct locations
• Pick and pack customer orders accurately, neatly and to a high standard
• Operate forklift trucks and order-picking equipment where required
• Ensure orders are prepared and dispatched on time
• Maintain a clean, tidy and well-organised warehouse
• Work closely with colleagues to meet daily workload requirements
• Support the wider warehouse team during busy periods

Key Skills of a Warehouse Team Member:

• Previous warehouse experience would be beneficial
• A forklift licence would be advantageous, although training may be available
• Previous warehouse leadership or supervisory experience would be desirable
• Physically fit and comfortable working in an active role
• Strong attention to detail and a focus on accuracy
• Trustworthy, positive and responsible approach to work
• Able to work independently and as part of a small team
• Clear and respectful communication skills
• Good common sense and the ability to use initiative
• Flexible and willing to go the extra mile when required

What We're Looking For

• Fit & active; in good health
• Previous warehouse experience is beneficial; forklift licence a big plus (training available)
• Warehouse leadership/supervisory experience desirable
• Comfortable working independently in a small team
• Willing to hustle and pitch in during busy periods, going the extra mile as part of the team to get the job done
