Role Overview

Pru school in SE London is seeking an experienced and adaptable KS2 Teacher to work within the PRU setting as a Float Teacher. The successful candidate will support pupils across Key Stage 2, delivering engaging lessons, managing behaviour positively, and maintaining high standards of learning and safeguarding.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality teaching across KS2 classes as required.
• Provide flexible classroom cover and support across different subject areas.
• Adapt lesson delivery to meet the needs of pupils within a PRU environment.
• Manage classroom behaviour effectively using restorative and positive strategies.
• Monitor pupil progress and provide feedback to staff and leadership teams.
• Maintain accurate records and uphold safeguarding procedures at all times.
• Work collaboratively with support staff, SEN teams, and leadership.

Candidate Requirements

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
• Experience teaching Key Stage 2 pupils.
• Experience within PRU, SEN, or alternative provision settings preferred.
• Strong behaviour management and communication skills.
• Ability to work flexibly across classes and subjects.
• Enhanced DBS on the update service preferred.

Working Pattern

Full-time teaching placement during the Autumn term period specified above.
