Job Title: Class 1 Driver (CE)

Location: Droitwich

Pay Rate: £17.00 – £19.50 per hour (PAYE)

Job Type: Immediate Start. Day shifts, Monday to Friday (minimum 8-hour day) with the potential to run until September 2026, plus Saturdays as required.

Time: 07:30 – 16:30 – could be earlier starts for collections

Job Overview:

Wright Staff Recruitment are recruiting experienced Class 1 Drivers for a prestigious client based in Droitwich. They provide the whole of the UK with vehicle transporters, roadside rescue vehicles and heavy recovery equipment.

The Role:

Collection and delivery of recovery vehicles across the UK, with occasional Scotland runs. The ideal candidate will be willing to get stuck in and remain flexible when not driving, supporting site requirements such as general labouring and basic vehicle maintenance. This is a hands-on role that combines driving with operational support, including completing delivery paperwork, carrying out vehicle checks, and ensuring full safety compliance.

Requirements:

• Valid HGV Class 1 (CE) licence
• Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph Card
• Minimum 1 year Class 1 experience
• Maximum 6 penalty points (NO DR/DD/IN/CD endorsements)
• Own transport to commute to and from work
• Flexible, dependable, and able to work at short notice
• Strong understanding of driver regulations and compliance
• Ensure Health & Safety regulations and safe working practices are adhered to
• Maintain a high standard of cleanliness and tidiness
• Excellent customer service skills, customer contact and interaction
