About the role
Job Title: Cement Mixer Driver (Class 2) Location: Hereford
Pay Rate: £15.00 per hour, increasing to £16.00 per hour from September
Job Type: Temp to Permanent

Wright Staff Recruitment are currently recruiting for an experienced Class 2 Cement Mixer Driver to join our long-standing family-run client based in Hereford.
This is an excellent opportunity to secure a permanent position with a well-established company following a successful temporary period.
Please note: An interview will be required at the company’s site in Tenbury Wells.
The Role:
- Deliver ready-mix concrete to commercial and residential customers within a 20-mile radius of Hereford.
- Monday to Friday with optional weekend work available.
- Start time of 07:00, finishing approximately 16:30–17:00.
- Average 40–45 hours per week.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out daily vehicle safety checks before each shift.
- Deliver ready-mix concrete safely and efficiently.
- Complete all delivery documentation accurately.
- Comply with Drivers’ Hours regulations, the Working Time Directive, and company procedures.
- Provide a professional and courteous service to customers.
- Keep vehicles clean and report any defects promptly.
Requirements:
- Valid UK Class 2 (Category C) Licence held for a minimum of 2 years.
- Minimum 6 months’ Cement Mixer driving experience.
- Valid Driver CPC qualification.
- Digital Tachograph Card.
- Maximum of3 minor penalty points.
- No driving disqualifications.
- Good understanding of Drivers’ Hours and Working Time regulations.
- Reliable, professional, and customer-focused.
- Flexible approach to work.
