Cover Supervisor – Blackheath

Link Education is currently recruiting experienced Cover Supervisors to work day-to-day supply across Secondary Schools in Blackheath and the surrounding areas.

This is a great opportunity for motivated individuals looking to work flexibly across a mix of schools, supporting student learning and classroom management.

Cover Supervisor: The Role
As a Cover Supervisor, you will undertake the specified teaching role including delivering lessons and leading the classroom. You will be responsible for keeping students interested and engaged with tasks in line with the national curriculum.

The successful candidate will work closely with class teachers and teaching assistants to motivate and inspire students.

Cover Supervisor: The Ideal Candidate

• A genuine passion for working in Education and supporting students’ learning

• Committed to creating a stimulating and safe learning environment

• Strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection

• Confident in delivering lessons with a sound knowledge of the curriculum

• Ability to manage classroom behaviour effectively

• Understanding of SEN or experience managing challenging behaviour is desirable

• QTS is not required but relevant qualifications in education or teaching are desirable

Cover Supervisor: Candidate Requirements

• Strong curriculum knowledge and experience undertaking full specified cover duties

• Proven classroom experience with professional references

• Valid Enhanced DBS check registered with the DBS Update Service or willingness to apply for a new one immediately upon shortlisting

• Professional, reliable, and punctual in attending bookings

• Experience working in UK Secondary schools with a confident understanding of safeguarding and safe practice
