The Role
As an AI & Automation Outcomes Consultant, you'll work closely with the Lead AI Outcomes Consultant to identify where AI and automation can solve business challenges and deliver measurable value across the organisation.
You'll partner with stakeholders across Ofgem to understand complex problems, translate them into practical AI and automation solutions and support projects from early discovery through to implementation and continuous improvement. Along the way, you'll help build organisational capability by coaching teams and championing the practical use of AI across the business.
Job description
You will be responsible for:
- Working with stakeholders across Ofgem to identify opportunities where AI and automation can deliver measurable business benefits.
- Translating business challenges into technically feasible AI and automation solutions.
- Helping design end-to-end AI solutions that align with Ofgem's product development standards and governance.
- Demonstrating how AI technologies can solve real business problems through proof-of-concepts and early-stage discovery work.
- Building strong relationships with senior stakeholders to co-design solutions that meet user, business and regulatory needs.
- Supporting delivery teams by providing both technical and business insight to overcome delivery challenges.
- Applying knowledge of emerging AI technologies to shape solution design and mentor colleagues.
- Supporting the transition of projects from proof of concept through MVP, scaling and continuous improvement.
- Coaching teams across the organisation on practical approaches to operationalising AI and data products.
- Communicating outcomes, insights and recommendations clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.
Person specification
Essential Criteria
- Proven expertise in designing, developing and embedding AI and data science solutions that enable organisations to achieve their goals (Lead Criteria).
- Proven expertise using a variety of AI and data science tools and techniques (Lead Criteria).
- Demonstrable understanding of ensuring the responsible use of AI technologies.
- Proven experience in collaborating with data engineers, data scientists and multidisciplinary delivery teams.
- Experience of communicating complex concepts to a variety of stakeholders.
Desirable Criteria
- Demonstrable experience of delivering in an agile, iterative manner that delivers value early.
- Demonstrable experience of understanding the role of user research and establishing user needs.
