Town Centre Initiatives Manager
Full time 37 hours
Grade 10 (£38,844-£40,817) with £2,820 market supplement
Are you someone who is good at business relationship management? Perhaps you are someone who has experience or skills in managing projects? Maybe you have that spark of creativity, enterprise and innovation? Broxtowe is looking for someone with special talents and drive to promote our four town centres and develop the visitor economy. Our towns: Kimberley, Eastwood, Beeston/Chilwell and Stapleford are all very different. Three of them have benefitted from around £80 million of public and private investment. Broxtowe is also home to the Giltbrook Retail Park, where stores such as IKEA and Decathlon attract around 6 million visitors a year. It is the birthplace of DH Lawrence and boasts the recently completed Bennerley Viaduct and Visitor centre. Be it creating trails or initiatives, you will be the team member generating new activities that help towns and businesses remain economically successful. Broxtowe is a leader and your work will help us stay there.
This is a management post with its own budget and responsibility for at least one staff member. It would suit an aspirant and ambitious candidate taking their first or second steps into management in a public sector regeneration, economic development, business development or town centre management role. If you have these skills sets. can work in partnership, have an interest in town centres, (including markets), a knack for marketing & engagement and a flair and helping and supporting businesses you would be our ideal candidate.
