Key Responsibilities
- Managing the day-to-day purchasing process from requisition through to delivery
- Raising and processing purchase orders
- Liaising with suppliers to obtain pricing, availability and delivery information
- Building and maintaining strong supplier relationships
- Monitoring stock levels and placing orders as required
- Tracking deliveries and following up on outstanding orders
- Resolving purchasing, delivery and invoice discrepancies
- Maintaining accurate purchasing and supplier records
- Supporting with price comparisons and supplier negotiations
- Working closely with internal departments to understand purchasing requirements
- Producing reports and maintaining procurement documentation
- Ensuring orders are processed accurately and efficiently
- Previous experience in purchasing, procurement, buying or supply chain is desirable
- Excellent organisational and administration skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Confident communicating with suppliers and internal stakeholders
- Good Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel and Outlook
- Able to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Commercially aware with a proactive approach
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
