About the role

Job Title: Service Manager – Fire & Security
Location: North
Salary: Up to £55,000 + Package (DOE)

Are you a Service Manager – Fire & Security based in the North looking for your next opportunity? As a Service Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the planned and reactive maintenance of fire and security systems across a range of commercial, industrial, and public sector sites, ensuring all work is delivered safely, on time, and in line with industry standards. You will be joining an established company with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality fire and security solutions to its customers.

Responsibilities:

* Manage the day-to-day operations of the service department, including scheduling, resource allocation, and workload prioritisation.
* Lead and develop a team of field-based engineers, providing technical guidance, performance management, and ongoing support.
* Act as the primary point of contact for clients, building and maintaining strong relationships to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
* Monitor and report on key service metrics, including response times, first-fix rates, and SLA compliance, taking corrective action where required.
* Oversee the preparation and management of service contracts, quotations, and remedial works proposals.
* Ensure all service activities are carried out in accordance with relevant British Standards, health and safety legislation, and company procedures.

Experience and Certifications required:

* Proven experience in a service management or senior supervisory role within the fire and security industry.
* Strong technical knowledge of fire detection, intruder alarm, and/or access control systems from leading manufacturers such as Advanced, Gent, Texecom, or Paxton.
* Demonstrated ability to manage field engineering teams and subcontractors across multiple sites.
* Experience managing service contracts and SLAs within a commercial environment.
* Full UK driving licence.
* FIA Level 4 or equivalent fire and security qualification (desirable).
