Westminster, London Long Term Futures Ltd SEN Teaching Assistant - Complex Needs - Westminster Full Time | Term Time Only | September 2026 Start Up to £120 per day | Long Term Role (Temp to Perm) Long Term Futures are recruiting a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join a specialist SEN school in Westminster, supporting pupils with complex needs. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with previous SEN, complex needs, care or specialist school experience who is looking for a stable, long-term position. You'll work closely with teachers, therapists and other SEN professionals to provide highly individualised support throughout the school day. The position is available on a long-term, temp-to-perm basis, giving the successful SEN Teaching Assistant the opportunity to become a permanent member of the school team. Key Responsibilities: Provide 1:1 and small-group support for pupils with complex SEN needs Support pupils with needs including ASD, learning difficulties, communication needs and physical disabilities Assist pupils in accessing learning and participating fully in school life Support communication, emotional regulation and independence Follow individual strategies, EHCPs and support plans Work alongside teachers, therapists and other specialist professionals Provide mobility and personal care support where requiredIdeal Candidate Will Have: Previous experience supporting children or young people with SEN or complex needs Experience within an SEN school, specialist provision, care or support setting is highly desirable Understanding of ASD, communication needs, learning disabilities or physical needs A calm, patient and resilient approach Confidence providing individualised support throughout the school day Strong communication and relationship-building skills A genuine interest in developing a career within SEND educationLocation & Transport - Westminster, Central London Excellent access via the Jubilee, Victoria, District, Circle and Bakerloo lines Major transport hubs include Victoria, Westminster and Paddington Extensive bus connections throughout Westminster and Central London Easily accessible from Camden, Lambeth, Kensington & Chelsea, Hammersmith and South LondonWhy Work with Long Term Futures Weekly pay - up to £120 per day Long-term temp-to-perm opportunity Opportunity to develop specialist complex needs and SEN experience Free CPD covering SEN, Autism, behaviour and safeguarding Work alongside experienced teachers and specialist professionals No day-to-day supply - long-term placements only Dedicated support from a SEND recruitment consultant If you're an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant looking to develop your complex needs experience within a Westminster SEN school, apply today with Long Term Futures.
