Head of Marketing

A growing business services company in Cardiff are now recruiting for a Head of Marketing on a permanent basis. This appointment is being made to help the company achieve it’s ambitious growth plans and capitalise on their recent success and investment.

The Head of Marketing will report to the Chief Executive Officer and manage a team of four. Working closely with the Business Development team, this is a commercially focused role which will plan and execute marketing strategy.

Activities include brand management, events, digital, campaign management and content creation. Success will be judged on demand generation, enhancing brand profile and team leadership.

Head of Marketing duties

• Execute marketing strategy to achieve revenue targets and growth objectives.
• Lead and develop a multidisciplinary marketing team.
• Managing the marketing budget, ensuring spend is optimised for ROI and pipeline creation.
• Build and execute a demand generation engine that consistently delivers high quality leads that are able to be converted to sales.
• Ensure brand consistency across all channels, collateral and customer touchpoints.
• Shape value proposition, ensuring technical services are positioned as clear, compelling, buyer focused offerings.
• Oversee creation of high value content, including whitepapers, case studies, reports, webinars etc.
• Ensure content supports SEO, demand generation, and sales enablement.
• Lead digital strategy across SEO, paid search, email, and website optimisation.
• Oversee events programme, including industry conferences, webinars, roundtables, and partner events.

Head of Marketing person specification

• Proven experience in a senior marketing role within a B2B services environment.
• Proven experience operating as a commercial leader within a scaling business, contributing directly to revenue.
• Strong track record of supporting pipeline and driving measurable revenue impact through lead generation.
• Highly commercial mindset, with a track record of delivering measurable ROI.
• Excellent technical ability with experience of using a CRM system, HubSpot, SalesForce etc.
• Confident and experienced hands-on leader with capability leading a multidisciplinary marketing team.
