About the role
Administration Officer (AO)
Location: Horsham (Hurst Rd, Horsham RH12 2ET)
Pay rate: £13.25 per hour

What you'll be doing:
* Clerking/ushering in court, helping proceedings run smoothly
* Providing day-to-day administration support to the courts from the office
* Preparing papers and files for hearings and meetings, processing and handling sensitive information accurately
* Creating and updating digital records, interpreting information on court files and accurately resulting outcomes
* Supporting the smooth running of court proceedings, including preparing court/hearing rooms efficiently
* Acting as a first point of contact when needed-welcoming court users, including members of the public and legal representatives (some may include vulnerable witnesses)
* Communicating with the public, judiciary, and other court/tribunal users via face to face, telephone, digital and written channels

* Strong customer service skills and the ability to work in a service-led, customer-facing role
* Good digital and administrative ability, with excellent attention to detail
* Confident communication and strong organisational skills
* Resilience and empathy when handling sensitive information and situations
* Adaptability and multitasking-comfortable moving between office-based duties and in-court support
* A collaborative, flexible approach to teamwork and delivering operational objectives
Additional information:
* Full-time, office-based role working 37 hours, Monday to Friday
* Clearance required: Standard/Enhanced DBS
