Senior Structures Engineer

BAE Systems, a leader in the Defence & Security sector, is currently seeking 6 Senior Structures Engineers to join their team in Brough, Warton or Prestwick. This contract position offers an exciting opportunity to work on cutting-edge defence projects over a 12-month period.

Please note you will need to hold indefinite leave to remain in the UK or a British nationality before application.

Key Responsibilities:

• Designing and analysing structural components for military air and information systems
• Ensuring all structural designs comply with industry standards and defence regulations
• Collaborating cross-functionally with other engineering teams and departments
• Conducting stress analysis and structural integrity assessments
• Documenting and presenting technical findings and reports
• Supervising the fabrication and assembly of structural components
• Providing technical guidance and support to junior engineers
• Ensuring project deliverables are met within the specified timeframes

Job Requirements:

• Experience as a structural designer or structural engineer, preferably within the aerospace sector
• Ability to work effectively in a full-time, on-site capacity
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
• Relevant engineering degree or equivalent qualification
