Inspector (PC-DMIS) - Motorsport Contract Opportunity
Location: Motorsport Industry
Contract: Rolling Contract
Start Date: November 2026

A prestigious motorsport organisation is seeking an experienced Inspector with PC-DMIS expertise to join its quality team on a contract basis from November. This is an exciting opportunity to work within a world-class engineering environment, supporting the production of precision components used in elite motorsport applications.
Responsibilities
- Operate Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMMs) using PC-DMIS software to inspect complex precision-engineered components.
- Interpret engineering drawings and CAD models to verify dimensional conformity.
- Carry out first-off, in-process, and final inspections of machined and assembled parts.
- Record, analyse, and report measurement data, ensuring components meet strict tolerance requirements.
- Work closely with engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams to investigate and resolve quality-related issues.
- Maintain accurate inspection records and support continuous improvement activities across the department.
Requirements
- Proven experience as an Inspector within a precision engineering, automotive, aerospace, or motorsport environment.
- Strong working knowledge of PC-DMIS and CMM programming/operation.
- Excellent understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing).
- Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings and technical documentation.
- High attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a fast-paced, high-performance team.
Desirable Experience
- Experience using additional metrology equipment such as height gauges, micrometers, verniers, and surface finish testers.
- Familiarity with ISO quality standards and controlled documentation processes.
- Previous experience within a high-performance motorsport or advanced manufacturing environment.
