We are currently recruiting an experienced Transport Supervisor to join a busy transport operation based in Maidenhead, ideally located for candidates travelling from Slough, Windsor, High Wycombe, Bracknell, Marlow and surrounding areas.

Transport Supervisor – The Role

As a Transport Supervisor, you’ll be an important part of the site’s management team, helping to manage the day-to-day running of a busy transport operation.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Managing daily transport operations
• Route planning and effective vehicle planning
• Maximising vehicle and route utilisation
• Planning delivery schedules and Driver routes
• Conducting Driver pre-briefs and debriefs
• Supervising and supporting Drivers throughout the shift
• Monitoring routes and resolving operational issues
• Ensuring deliveries are completed efficiently
• Working closely with Transport, Warehouse and Operations teams
• Using transport management systems and computer software
• Supporting fleet and Driver management
• Ensuring the shift runs safely, efficiently and smoothly

Who Are We Looking For?

We are keen to hear from candidates with experience as a:

Transport Supervisor | Transport Planner | Transport Team Leader | Logistics Supervisor | Transport Coordinator | Traffic Planner | Transport Administrator | Transport Shift Supervisor

Experience within Transport, Distribution, Logistics, Haulage, Fleet Management, Delivery Operations or Supply Chain would be particularly relevant.

We’re looking for someone who:

• Has strong transport planning and organisational skills
• Is confident managing and communicating with Drivers
• Understands route planning and vehicle utilisation
• Is comfortable using computers and transport systems
• Can work effectively in a busy, fast-paced environment
• Is confident making decisions and solving problems
• Has a hands-on attitude and isn’t afraid to get stuck in
• Can motivate a team and make sure the job gets done

Hours & Shift

40 hours per week
Day Shift
5 days out of 7 on a rota basis

This is an excellent opportunity to join the site’s management team and take responsibility for ensuring the Transport operation runs effectively.
