Location: Leicester City

Pay Rate: £40.00 per hour

Working Pattern: Hybrid (3 days per week based in the hub)

About the Role

Leicester City Council is seeking highly skilled and dynamic Advanced Practitioners to join our Children in Need (CIN) Service. In this pivotal position, you will work directly with some of our most vulnerable children, young people, and families, ensuring they receive the targeted help, protection, and support needed to achieve positive, lasting outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality, complex direct social work practice to children, young people, and families in need of support and protection.

  • Act as a practice lead, offering support, guidance, and expertise to colleagues across the team.

  • Support the professional development of social work practitioners to maintain high standards of practice.

  • Work collaboratively within a hub environment 3 days per week to support team cohesion and practice standards.

What We're Looking For
  • Qualified & Registered: Experienced Social Worker registered with Social Work England.

  • Practice Expertise: Strong background in Children in Need, Child Protection, or assessment environments.

  • Leadership Skills: Proven ability to coach, guide, and mentor social workers and support workforce development.

  • Child-Centred Ethos: Passionate about achieving positive outcomes and advocating for children and families.
