Highway Inspector

Our client is seeking a skilled Highway Inspector to join their team on a contract basis in the Leicestershire region, specifically Northern Leicestershire.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conducting routine and ad-hoc inspections of highways and related infrastructure
• Identifying and documenting defects or potential hazards in the highways
• Ensuring compliance with relevant safety and maintenance standards
• Preparing detailed reports based on inspections and findings
• Collaborating with maintenance teams to prioritise and address issues
• Maintaining accurate records of inspections and completed works
• Liaising with local authorities and stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery
• Driving to various locations within North Leicestershire for inspections

Job Requirements:

• Experience in highway inspection or related field
• Proficient understanding of highways maintenance and safety standards
• Ability to use own vehicle with mileage compensation offered
• Strong attention to detail and ability to document findings accurately
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Capability to work independently and manage time effectively
• Relevant qualification or certification in highways inspection is desirable
