As part of continued growth, an exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Project Manager to join the team and take ownership of project delivery across a portfolio of subsea and offshore projects.
The Role
The Project Manager will be responsible for the successful execution of projects within the offshore wind and offshore energy sectors. This role encompasses project planning, cost control, procurement coordination, stakeholder management, risk mitigation, and commercial oversight to ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships at all levels.
- Take ownership of all project execution phases while coordinating cross-functional teams including engineering, supply chain, manufacturing, quality, and testing.
- Act as the primary customer contact throughout project delivery.
- Develop and manage project plans, schedules, and deliverables.
- Coordinate internal departments, suppliers, and subcontractors to achieve project objectives.
- Create and maintain project risk and opportunity registers, implementing mitigation strategies where required.
- Manage project budgets, revenue forecasts, invoicing schedules, and milestone payments.
- Identify opportunities to improve project profitability through effective commercial management and variation control.
- Ensure project documentation is delivered in accordance with contractual requirements and agreed timescales.
- Produce regular project reports for customers and senior stakeholders.
- Lead lessons learned activities and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
- Support change management processes and non-conformance resolution activities.
- Review technical solutions and ensure alignment with customer requirements.
Required Experience
- Minimum 5 years' experience in a Project Management role within offshore wind, subsea engineering, offshore energy, or a related industry.
- Proven experience delivering complex engineering projects from initiation through to completion.
- Experience leading multidisciplinary teams across engineering, procurement, manufacturing, commissioning, and service functions.
- Knowledge of subsea infrastructure, cable protection systems, umbilicals, flexibles, renewables, or related offshore technologies.
- Strong commercial and contractual awareness.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel and Word.
Qualifications
- Formal Project Management qualification such as APM, PRINCE2, or equivalent.
- HNC/HND, Degree, or equivalent qualification in Engineering, Project Management, or a related discipline.
- Additional leadership or management qualifications would be advantageous.
