Job Title: Security Systems Design Engineer
Location: North-West
Salary: Up to £55,000 + Package
Are you a Security Systems Design Engineer based in the North-West looking for your next opportunity? As a Security Systems Design Engineer, you will be responsible for producing detailed technical designs across a range of security systems, working on projects for commercial, industrial, and public sector clients. You will be joining an established company with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality security solutions to its customers.
Responsibilities:
* Produce detailed designs and schematics for security systems including CCTV, access control, and intruder detection in line with client specifications and relevant standards.
* Develop cable schedules, equipment schedules, and technical documentation to support project delivery teams.
* Liaise with project managers, engineers, and clients to ensure designs meet operational and budgetary requirements.
* Carry out site surveys to gather information and inform design decisions where required.
* Review and respond to technical submittals, design queries, and variations throughout the project lifecycle.
* Ensure all designs comply with current British Standards, regulations, and industry best practice.
Experience and Certifications required:
* Proven experience in a security systems design role, with a minimum of 3 years working within the fire and security industry.
* Demonstrable experience designing CCTV, access control, and intruder alarm systems using industry-standard design software.
* Familiarity with relevant British Standards including BS EN 50132, BS EN 50131, and BS 7799.
* Strong ability to produce accurate technical drawings and documentation using AutoCAD or similar design tools.
* Full UK driving licence.
* NSI or SSAIB affiliation or awareness of accreditation requirements (desirable).
* FIA Certificate in Fire and Security Systems Design (desirable).
