About the role


Our client, a distinguished entity in the aerospace sector, is currently seeking a dedicated Customer Quality Engineer to join their team on a permanent basis. This role is fundamental in ensuring that all products and services delivered to customers meet aviation regulatory requirements, customer specifications, and internal quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the primary point of contact for customers on all quality matters.
  • Investigate and resolve customer non-conformances, implementing corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) where required.
  • Support internal teams to address quality issues, ensuring timely and effective resolution.
  • Maintain compliance with AS9100 / AS9120 standards and customer-specific requirements.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives in processes and products to enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Provide technical support and advice to customers regarding quality issues and product compliance.
  • Participate in internal and external audits as required.
  • Produce and maintain accurate quality records, reports, and documentation to support compliance and traceability.

Job Requirements:

  • Proven experience in quality engineering, ideally in a customer-facing role.
  • Knowledge of AS9100, AS9120, or other relevant quality standards (essential).
  • Experience with Non Conformance, corrective actions, and continuous improvement.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, capable of working with internal teams and customers.
  • Proactive, solutions-focused, and able to work independently while supporting cross-functional initiatives.
  • Working knowledge of aerospace customer requirements.
  • Ability to read and understand technical data including drawings and specifications.
  • Must be computer literate and familiar with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and MS Office.

  • Strong written and spoken communication skills together with a positive attitude, demonstrated in all correspondence (telephone, face-to-face, and email).
  • Organisation, time management, prioritising and the ability to handle a complex, varied workload.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong commercial awareness and customer service ethics.
