Senior Network Engineer – Unified Communications – Contract

We are looking for an experienced Senior Network Engineer - Unified Communications to take a key role in the design, implementation, and support of our Unified Communications (UC) environment.
You will have strong expertise in Microsoft Teams Phone, Microsoft Teams, Microsoft Teams Rooms, AudioCodes SBC/OVOC, and Genesys Cloud Contact Centre. You will work closely with network, infrastructure, security, vendors, and business stakeholders to deliver secure, reliable, and scalable communications solutions.
Key Responsibilities

Design, implement, optimise, and support enterprise UC solutions.
Configure and manage AudioCodes SBC gateways and OVOC.
Implement and support Microsoft Teams Phone, Direct Routing, and Teams Voice, including integration with carrier SBCaaS.
Integrate Microsoft Teams with AudioCodes SBC and Cisco CUBE environments.
Deploy, configure, and manage Microsoft Teams Rooms.
Support and troubleshoot complex UC issues, providing escalation-level technical support.
Monitor UC platforms to ensure high availability, performance, and reliability.
Develop and maintain UC architecture, technical documentation, and disaster recovery procedures.
Work collaboratively with network, infrastructure, security, and IT support teams.
Manage UC vendors, technical support cases, and related projects.
Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior engineers and support teams.
Engage with stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver effective UC solutions.

Essential Skills & Experience

5+ years' hands-on experience in Unified Communications.
Strong experience with Microsoft Teams Phone, Teams Voice, Direct Routing, and Teams Rooms.
Proven experience designing and deploying AudioCodes SBC solutions.
Experience with AudioCodes OVOC.
Experience with Genesys Cloud Contact Centre / Genesys PureCloud.
Strong understanding of VoIP, SIP, H.323, MGCP, and QoS.
Good understanding of UC architecture and Microsoft Teams integration.
Solid knowledge of network infrastructure, including LAN/WAN, routers, and switches.
Experience working in enterprise-scale, complex IT environments.
Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.

Desirable

Knowledge of Cisco UCM, Cisco Unity, Cisco Voice/Gateway and CUBE.
CCNP Collaboration or equivalent.
AudioCodes ACA (SBC) certification.
Microsoft Certified: Teams Administrator Associate or equivalent.
