• Class 2: £15.50 per hour (£17.37 per hour rolled-up holiday pay)

Working Pattern: Monday to Friday

About the Role

We are currently recruiting experienced Class 2 (Category C) Drivers to support our client based in Coventry on an ad hoc basis, with the opportunity for ongoing work for reliable and professional drivers.

This role is ideal for drivers looking for flexible work, those wanting to supplement their current income, semi-retired drivers, or anyone seeking occasional shifts. Applicants must have at least 2 years’ recent HGV driving experience and experience driving manual HGV vehicles.

Key Responsibilities

• Complete between 3 and 6 deliveries per shift.
• Deliver palletised plastic storage products using a tail lift.
• Carry out long-distance deliveries across the UK.
• Be available for occasional overnight stays (you will always be notified in advance).
• Operate Class 2 vehicles safely and in line with all legal requirements.
• Complete scheduled deliveries and collections efficiently.
• Carry out daily vehicle safety checks before and after each shift.
• Complete all relevant paperwork accurately.
• Comply with Drivers’ Hours and Working Time Regulations.
• Provide a professional and courteous service to customers.

Requirements

• Valid UK Category C (Class 2) HGV Licence.
• Valid Driver CPC qualification and Digital Tachograph Card.
• Minimum 2 years’ recent Class 2 driving experience.
• Experience driving manual HGV vehicles is essential.
• No more than 6 penalty points (no DD, DR or IN convictions).
• Flexibility to complete occasional overnight stays when required.
• Good knowledge of UK road networks and transport legislation.
• Reliable, professional and safety-focused approach to work.
