Job Title: DV Cleared Director of Security Function

Duration: 6 months possible extension

What you'll be doing:

• Own and drive the Sector Security Strategy, aligned to business objectives, customer requirements and regulatory obligations
• Provide senior-level security leadership and assurance to the Senior Leadership Team, advising on security risks, emerging threats and compliance matters
• Establish and maintain security governance frameworks, policies and standards across Physical, Personnel, Information and Cyber Security disciplines
• Lead security risk management: identify, assess, monitor and ensure risks are appropriately managed
• Oversee compliance and assurance against GovS007, JSP 440, GDPR and contractual security obligations, including ISO 27001-aligned controls and processes
• Act as the principal point of contact for security with Government Departments, Contracting Authorities, customers and industry partners
• Govern business continuity and emergency response planning, supporting organisational resilience and crisis management arrangements
• Provide security advice and assurance for supply chain and third-party partners, supporting due diligence and risk assessments
• Ensure security incidents are managed, investigated, reported, and followed through with corrective actions and continuous improvement

• Ability to achieve and maintain Developed Vetting (DV) Security Clearance
• Deep knowledge of GovS007 and relevant aspects of JSP 440, alongside experience leading governance, risk and compliance programmes
• Strong understanding of information assurance/risk management and ISO 27001 principles, with practical GDPR awareness
• Confidence advising on contractual and legislative security requirements, supporting bids, transitions and business development

Additional information:

• Well-developed IT literacy with an understanding of modern cyber and information security risks
