Assistant Management Accountant

Boroughbridge, York YO51, UK IPS Finance The Assistant Management Accountant will join an established finance team and support the delivery of accurate and timely management information. This is a varied position providing exposure to month-end accounts, balance sheet work, cash flow and transactional finance, with the opportunity to develop broader management accounting experience. Key responsibilities Assist with the month end management accounts process. Prepare accruals and prepayments. Complete balance sheet reconciliations and investigate outstanding items. Prepare and post journals where required. Produce supporting schedules and working papers for the management accounts. Provide support across purchase and sales ledger when required. Produce regular and ad hoc financial reports. Assist with cash flow reporting and forecasting. Maintain accurate financial records and supporting documentation.Desired Experience:  Previous experience within an accounts or finance role. Good Excel skills and general confidence working with finance systems. Experience maintaining accurate financial records and reconciliations. Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach. Able to prioritise workload effectively around month-end deadlines. Comfortable working across different areas of a finance function. Previous exposure to management accounts would be advantageous.
