About the role
Job Title: Health & Safety Co-ordinator
Location: Gloucester – Hybrid
Length: 3-month rolling contract
Rate: £250 per day, inside IR35
Are you a Health & Safety Co-ordinator based in Gloucester looking for your next contract opportunity? As a Health & Safety Co-ordinator, you will be responsible for supporting the administration and coordination of health and safety activities across a range of mechanical and electrical project sites, ensuring compliance records, risk documentation and incident reporting are accurately maintained and up to date. You will be joining an established company with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality M&E solutions to its customers.
Responsibilities:
* Maintain health and safety portals, compliance documentation and site induction records, ensuring all information is accurate and current.
* Support internal and external health and safety audits and assist with the implementation and ongoing maintenance of ISO 45001 requirements.
* Prepare, review and update risk assessments and method statements in line with project and operational requirements.
* Record, investigate and report near misses, accidents and incidents, maintaining accurate logs throughout.
* Track outstanding health and safety actions and support their timely close-out across site and operational teams.
* Liaise with project managers and site teams to gather and maintain accurate health and safety performance information and reports.
Experience and Certifications required:
* Proven experience in a health and safety administration or coordination role, ideally within a mechanical and electrical, construction or engineering environment.
* Practical knowledge of ISO 45001 and occupational health and safety management systems.
* Experience supporting audits, managing incident records and maintaining compliance portals and documentation.
* Strong IT and administrative skills with excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple records and deadlines.
* NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent qualification.
* IOSH Membership (desirable).
