Are you an experienced HLTA, Teaching Assistant or Unqualified Teacher ready to take the next step in your career?
We’re recruiting for a brand-new specialist school opening in Esher this September, supporting pupils aged 7–17 with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs and Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD).
This is a fantastic opportunity to join the school’s founding team, helping to shape a positive and nurturing learning environment from day one.
The Role

Lead learning sessions and provide classroom cover when required.
Deliver engaging lessons and targeted interventions to individuals, small groups and whole classes.
Support pupils with SEMH and additional learning needs to engage in learning and achieve their goals.
Work collaboratively with teachers and the wider school team.
Promote positive behaviour, emotional regulation and independence.

About You

Previous experience as an HLTA, experienced Teaching Assistant, Cover Supervisor or Unqualified Teacher.
Confident leading lessons or taking responsibility for groups of pupils.
Experience supporting children with SEND and/or SEMH needs is highly desirable.
Calm, resilient and able to build positive relationships.
Passionate about helping young people overcome barriers to learning.
