The Class 1 ADR Driver Role

As a Class 1 ADR Driver, you’ll be responsible for completing safe and efficient driving duties while maintaining high standards of professionalism, compliance and customer service.

You’ll ensure all journeys are completed in line with transport legislation, company procedures and ADR requirements, carrying out the necessary vehicle checks and documentation while representing the organisation professionally when dealing with customers and colleagues.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely operate Class 1 vehicles in accordance with company procedures
• Transport ADR-regulated goods safely and compliantly
• Complete daily vehicle checks and report any defects
• Ensure driving hours and Working Time regulations are followed
• Complete all required transport and delivery documentation accurately
• Maintain high standards of health and safety
• Communicate professionally with customers, colleagues and operational teams
• Ensure vehicles are kept safe, secure and presentable

Class 1 ADR Driver Essential Skills

• Valid UK Class 1 / Category C+E driving licence
• Valid ADR qualification
• Valid Driver CPC
• Digital Tachograph Card
• Strong understanding of Drivers’ Hours and Working Time regulations
• Professional and safety-conscious approach
• Reliable and communicative
• Good attention to detail
