Overview:

Family based in a village called Bentworth, near Alton, Hampshire are looking for a reliable and caring Nanny to help look after their two children – two boys, 7 and 5 years old (at commencement of post), on a sole charge basis.

The family are ideally looking for someone to care for their children five days per week, Monday – Friday.

Hours during term time are 7.30am–10.00am and 3.00pm–6.30pm, plus an extra 2.5 hours a week for childcare duties, totalling 32.5 hours a week. The family could offer a few more hours for some housekeeping duties.

Hours during the school holidays are 7:30am – 6:30pm, totalling 55 hours a week.

There are 20 weeks holiday hours and 32 weeks term time hours, which on average works out at approximately 41 hours a week. The nanny would be paid on a pro rata, annualised basis.

Both parents work in London and rarely work from home.

The family would like the nanny to manage the children’s laundry, bedrooms and play areas, organise school bags/uniforms, prepare nutritious meals and snacks, batch cook, support homework and plan activities and outings during school holidays.

The school is about a half an hour drive away so a nanny who is a confident driver is a must. The family is open to discussing use of either the family car or the nanny’s own car. Car seats will be provided, and mileage will be reimbursed when the nanny uses their own vehicle for work.

The family currently has no pets, although they occasionally look after a dog and may get a dog in the future. Candidates should therefore be comfortable around dogs.

• 12 hour Paediatric First Aid.
