Then this exciting role could be for you.

Burnley Council are seeking an expert in the field of Engineering. You will be an experienced Engineer with relevant Engineering qualifications and a proven track record and skills to join our Streetscene Team as a middle manager.

You will be at the forefront of leading some exciting Capital Schemes that are transforming our town. We will be looking to you to lead the team forward and take responsibility for ongoing workforce planning.

It is essential you have experience of Project Management, delivering schemes on time and within budget, including the production of Financial and Project bid reports and resources.

It is also essential that you have the ability to lead, motivate, manage, and develop staff across multi-disciplinary teams. 

You must be able to monitor, review and improve service delivery and respond to and implement change in a positive way. 

You must also be able to make effective use of a range of resources and to plan, prioritise and work to deadlines, whilst reconciling conflicting demands and issues.

You must possess a full current driving licence and be able to work occasional evenings and weekends.

This is a “Politically Restricted” post under the provisions of Section 3 of the Local Government and Housing Act 1989.
