Job summary
This is an exciting opportunity to lead a high performing team in maintaining and optimising CPS’ Oracle Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system.
You will be an integral part of the wider Finance System team in leading the enhancement and alignment of the system configuration with business and process improvement initiatives.
You will manage a Systems Support team ensuring data integrity across Oracle Finance, Procurement and HR modules.
Job description
The purpose of this post is to oversee and lead the optimisation and maintenance of CPS’ Oracle Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system.
- You will align system configuration with business objectives, manage the ERP System Support Team, and ensure data integrity across all modules in the ERP module.
- Working with internal and external stakeholders, you will support the development of long-term strategies, identifying and implementing opportunities for automation and process streamlining.
- As part of maintaining and optimising the Oracle ERP system, you will manage Quarterly Releases, including assessing and advising on adoption of new features and act as an escalation point for resolving issues, including during system testing. You will ensure data integrity of the system, manage Access Controls and maintain compliance with data security and governance procedures.
- You will support user adoption and enhance the user experience by developing documentation and guidance, using tools like Oracle Guided Learning to optimise the utilisation of the platform.
- You will provide a critical link between the business and finance.

Person specification
To be eligible to apply, you will need to have substantive experience in managing and motivating teams, particularly through change, as well as subject matter expertise in Oracle ERP systems.
You will need to have an understanding of Oracle ERP modules and their configuration, and how they relate to and support business processes.
An understanding of Oracle Transactional Business Intelligence (OTBI) and the ability to build reports in Oracle is also highly desirable.
You will have a track record of continuous improvement, of business processes and optimal system configuration, to provide a seamless user experience along with appropriate and proportionate system and financial controls.
