About the role
CNC Miller/Turner (Night Shift) | Perm | Poole
I am recruiting for a CNC Mill/Turn Setter/Operator to join a busy precision engineering environment on a night shift contract in Poole.
Pay is up to £23.40 per hour (inside IR35). Night shift uplift applies.
The role
You will be responsible for setting and operating CNC Mill/Turn lathe machines (FANUC control) to produce components to customer drawings and specifications.
Day to day includes:
- Setting and operating CNC Mill/Turn machines (FANUC)
- Producing parts to drawing, tolerance and specification
- Inspecting your own work to drawing and SPC requirements
- Keeping your area to a high 5S / 5C standard
What you will need
- Strong CNC Mill/Turn setting and operating experience (FANUC)
- Time served apprenticeship (or equivalent) in mechanical engineering
- Background in aerospace/precision engineering standards and quality expectations
- Confidence self inspecting and working to tight tolerances
Nice to have:
- Experience with Nakamura machines and bar feed
Shift / site notes
- Night shift core hours are 8pm to 3am (shift start not permitted before 4pm)
- This role sits in an environment governed by ITAR, so nationality eligibility applies (NATO countries)
