- Working with Engineering teams to ensure capabilities and solutions align with technology strategy, recognising that many customer deployments involve multiple NEC products & capabilities (inc. 3rd parties where appropriate).
- Evaluate solution architectural trade-offs and recommend optimal approaches balancing cost, risk, scalability and delivery timelines.
- Work with customers and partners to understand technical requirements and operational challenges.
- Provide technical leadership during customer workshops, bid responses and solution demonstrations.
- Communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Technology Leadership
- Drive adoption of modern software architecture practices including cloud-native, microservices, API-first and event-driven approaches.
- Assess emerging technologies and recommend opportunities for innovation.
- Ensure appropriate use of AI, data, analytics and automation capabilities within product solutions where applicable.
Engineering, Security, Compliance & Quality
- Ensure we embed security-by-design principles into product architectures.
- Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards, regulatory requirements and organisational policies.
- Responsible for architecture assurance activities including architecture reviews, threat modelling and technical risk assessments.
- Work closely with engineering teams to understand their capabilities and needs, ensuring solution ‘tooling’ supports rapid, consistent and effective implementations.
- Ensure the implementation, training and support teams receive appropriate training and documentation to enable them to implement and support the solution.
