Forklift Counterbalance Driver

Job Overview

We are seeking a motivated and experienced FLT (Forklift Truck) Counterbalance Driver to join our clients dynamic warehouse team.

Candidates will be required to work off the Forklift Counterbalance truck and support with both warehouse and production duties

Hours of work: 8:30am – 5pm Monday to Friday – Overtime available

£13.50 – £14ph DOE

Duties

• Safely operate counterbalance forklifts to load, unload, move, and organize materials throughout the warehouse
• Assist with shipping and receiving processes by accurately handling incoming and outgoing shipments
• Use warehouse management systems to track inventory movements and update records in real time
• Perform routine equipment inspections and minor repairs to ensure forklifts are in optimal working condition

Qualifications

• Valid forklift operator certification for counterbalance trucks (passed or refreshed within the last 3 years)
• Proven experience operating forklifts in a busy warehouse setting
• Familiarity with warehouse management systems for inventory control
• Basic mechanical knowledge for troubleshooting equipment issues
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently
• Strong understanding of materials handling procedures and safety standards
• Good basic math skills for counting, measuring, and recording data accurately
