The Role

As a Secondary Teacher, you will:

  • Plan and deliver engaging, high-quality lessons in your specialist subject.
  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment where all pupils can succeed.
  • Assess, monitor and track pupil progress, adapting teaching to meet individual learning needs.
  • Differentiate lessons to support pupils of varying abilities, including those with SEND.
  • Maintain high standards of behaviour and classroom management.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents and support staff to promote pupil achievement.
  • Contribute to the wider school community and uphold safeguarding responsibilities.

The Ideal Candidate

The successful candidate will have:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Experience teaching within a UK secondary school.
  • Strong subject knowledge and excellent classroom management skills.
  • The ability to motivate, engage and inspire pupils.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • A commitment to raising attainment and promoting positive outcomes for all learners.
  • A flexible, enthusiastic and professional approach to teaching.

Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
  • Minimum of 6 months’ UK teaching experience within the last two years.
  • Experience planning, delivering and assessing lessons.
  • Strong behaviour management skills.
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
  • Two recent education-based references.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
