The Role
As a Supply Teaching Assistant, you will:
- Support teachers in delivering engaging lessons across EYFS, KS1, KS2, KS3 or KS4.
- Work with individual pupils and small groups to support learning and development.
- Provide classroom support for pupils with a range of abilities, including SEND.
- Help create a safe, positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Encourage pupil engagement, confidence and independence.
- Assist with classroom preparation and learning resources.
- Follow school policies and safeguarding procedures at all times.
The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for candidates who:
- Have previous experience working in a UK school or educational setting.
- Are confident supporting children with a variety of learning needs.
- Have excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Are adaptable, reliable and enthusiastic.
- Can quickly build positive relationships with pupils and staff.
- Have a genuine passion for supporting children’s learning and wellbeing.
Requirements
- Minimum of 6 months’ UK school experience within the last two years.
- Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification is desirable but not essential.
- Experience supporting pupils with SEND is advantageous.
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
- Two recent education-based references.
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
