The Role

As a Supply Teaching Assistant, you will:

• Support teachers in delivering engaging lessons across EYFS, KS1, KS2, KS3 or KS4.
• Work with individual pupils and small groups to support learning and development.
• Provide classroom support for pupils with a range of abilities, including SEND.
• Help create a safe, positive and inclusive learning environment.
• Encourage pupil engagement, confidence and independence.
• Assist with classroom preparation and learning resources.
• Follow school policies and safeguarding procedures at all times.

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for candidates who:

• Have previous experience working in a UK school or educational setting.
• Are confident supporting children with a variety of learning needs.
• Have excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Are adaptable, reliable and enthusiastic.
• Can quickly build positive relationships with pupils and staff.
• Have a genuine passion for supporting children’s learning and wellbeing.

Requirements

• Minimum of 6 months’ UK school experience within the last two years.
• Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification is desirable but not essential.
• Experience supporting pupils with SEND is advantageous.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
• Two recent education-based references.
• A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
