About the role

We are excited to be recruiting on behalf of a growing logistics company looking to recruit an experienced Fleet and Compliance Coordinator to strengthen their team in Felixstowe. The successful applicant will be rewarded with a very competitive salary and the opportunity to gain further knowledge in the industry.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate planned preventative maintenance and MOT schedules for a national HGV and trailer fleet.
  • Liaise with maintenance providers to schedule repairs and servicing, ensuring all work was completed to the required standards.
  • Monitor and managed HGV driver tachograph compliance in line with legal requirements.
  • Process and maintained fleet documentation to meet industry and regulatory standards.
  • Manage vehicle defect reporting, ensuring timely processing and resolution of reported faults.
  • Coordinate vehicle and trailer breakdown support to minimise operational disruption.
  • Oversee tyre management, including replacement scheduling and supplier coordination.
  • Administer Operator Licence compliance and associated fleet records.
  • Work closely with insurance providers to report and manage road traffic collision (RTC) claims.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and transport legislation.

 

Previous Skills & Experience:

  • Minimum of one year of experience working within the transport and HGV industry.
  • Strong understanding of drivers’ hours regulations, tachograph legislation, and transport compliance requirements.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build effective working relationships.
  • Transport Manager CPC qualification (or working knowledge of Operator Licence compliance); qualification desirable but not essential.
  • Proven ability to work effectively under pressure while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
